We don't want to build your software. We want to make you the market leader.
Same roll, better method: waste down from 16.84% to 8.21%. Grey is what's left over.

What would it take to make your competitors your customers?
When we met
“Planning one job takes 23 minutes, and we still throw away a sixth of the film.”
Signvision cuts window film to size. A single job might be 84 pieces for 14 different windows, no two the same. Somebody laid those pieces out along the roll by hand, and how well they did it that morning decided the margin on the job.
What we did first
We sat down and worked out the rules with them.
Not a requirements document handed over and built to. Weeks of arguing about edge cases with the people who actually cut the film, until what they did by instinct was written down precisely enough to compute.
We halved the waste.
Their own measurement — one job, 14 windows, 84 pieces Measure By hand Computed Material waste 16.84% 8.21% Planning time 23 min 30 sec Film cost CHF 4,456.50 CHF 4,039.20 Cutting cost CHF 420.00 CHF 324.00 That is a tenth off the cost of that job — CHF 513 in film and cutting — plus 4.2 hours off the shop floor. And it repeats on every job, for as long as they run it.
Two years later
Then came the move that actually made them the market leader.
We built the algorithm into a B2B portal — folienzuschnitt.ch — and opened it to the trade. The firms Signvision had been losing jobs to signed up and started planning their own work through it. On Signvision's system. Paying Signvision to do it.
Their competitors became their customers
That is what made them number one for window film cutting in Switzerland. The portal now runs internationally.
The algorithm is the part most software firms cannot build. Selling it to the people you were losing jobs to is the part nobody thinks to suggest. Signvision did both, and that is the difference between a good supplier and a market leader.
You probably have one of these. You just haven't named it.
- The thing that decides your margin depends on who's on shift that day.
- Your best person does something by instinct that has never been written down.
- You lose jobs on how fast you can quote, not on price.
- Everyone in your industry solves this the same slow way, and nobody has bothered to fix it.
- You hold data nobody outside your company has.
If two or more of those are true, that's a conversation worth having.Book 20 minutes
Not a full-service agency. The hard part.
- 01
Algorithms & optimization
When the answer has to be computed rather than configured. Cutting and packing, scheduling, routing, pricing, simulation — anywhere a better method is worth real money. This is where a physics background stops being trivia.
- 02
Business systems & portals
Customer portals, internal platforms, B2B systems built around how your business actually works — instead of bending your business around software somebody else designed for a different company.
- 03
Integrations
ERP, e-commerce, CRM, accounting, PIM, payments. Getting systems to exchange data cleanly and keep doing it. Unglamorous, and usually the fastest payback in the building.
- 04
AI that survives contact with the job
Automation of repetitive work, document and knowledge systems, custom agents. We'll also tell you where AI is the wrong tool — that's most of the value we add on this one.

What ties the other four together
Fractional CTO
Somebody senior on your side of the table. With Signvision that meant sitting down and working out the rules of the business before a line of code existed — which is where the algorithm came from, and why it was worth building. Architecture, vendor decisions, technical due diligence, and getting stalled projects moving again. We've run a business since 2002, not just billed for one.
A few others.
Public sector
State development bank
Complete public web relaunch for a publicly owned regional development bank: frontend architecture, amortization-schedule calculators, eligibility questionnaires, complex interactive forms with server-side processing, and full statutory accessibility conformance.
Lead generation
Software comparison platform
Public acquisition funnels, an admin portal and a customer-facing B2B portal in one system. Leads are captured, enriched, qualified and routed to paying customers; the platform also runs invoicing, credit notes, dunning, an embedded CRM and financial dashboards. Integrated with HubSpot, Salesforce and Integrate.
Retail
International footwear brand
Product lifecycle platform: collection management, model development, stock and real-time availability across e-commerce and retail stores, synchronized with Shopify, PIM, Microsoft 365 and Google services.
SaaS
Reputation management platform
End-to-end platform for managing business profiles, reviews and fake-review removal, with integrations across CRM, email, accounting, direct debit and collections — plus a white-label portal so agencies could resell it under their own brand.
Two of us you'd deal with directly.

Sebastian Epple
Founder · Managing Director, Technology
Physicist — Diplom, University of Stuttgart, 2003, thesis on solutions to the Newton–Schrödinger equations. I started building commercial software in 2002, during the last stretch of the degree, and never stopped: twenty-plus years of mathematical algorithms, database engineering, portals, integrations and cloud delivery. The physics matters less as a credential than as a habit — take a problem nobody has structured yet, break it down, and work out what's actually true before writing any code.

Fifteen years in senior marketing and sales roles at mid-market companies, with a background in web software and portals. He works on process automation and change management — the part where a new system has to actually get used by the people it was built for.
In their words, translated from German.
Together with our partner we digitized and automated a large part of our business model — starting with the intelligent algorithm and going all the way to an extensive portal. Today we're the market leader for window film cutting in Switzerland. A great collaboration and a real success story.
We've worked together for years, and for a simple reason: whether it's a technical question, a web topic or a complex requirement, we always get a fast, competent, practical answer. What matters most to us is that they take the time to really understand how we work.
We deliver all our agency client projects around AI and web portals with CodeArchitekten. The collaboration is always as equals — fast, solution-oriented, and with a real feel for what we need.
Let's talk
The things people ask us first.
With a conversation, not a form that disappears. Twenty minutes with an engineer rather than a salesperson, on what you're dealing with and whether we'd be any good at it — no charge. If it fits, we scope it properly: approach, timeline and money in writing before anybody commits.
From a focused four-to-six week build up to platforms we've developed and maintained for years. If a problem is small enough for an off-the-shelf tool, we'll tell you which one to buy.
Yes, regularly. Inherited codebases, stalled projects, and systems whose original developer is long gone. It's a specific skill and a good share of our work.
Because the interesting question is never "can AI do this." It's whether the result lands in somebody's actual working day and stays there. We'll usually recommend automating two or three things that obviously pay for themselves before anything ambitious.
Stuttgart, Germany — a German engineering company, which is most of the reason clients come to us. We've built software for clients we rarely sit in a room with for years, and the nine-hour offset earns its keep: you send a question at the end of your day and the answer is waiting at the start of the next one.
No — our clients are European. Sebastian is spending time in Southern California to learn the market first-hand: how business gets done here, what companies are stuck on, who is worth knowing. If you're up for talking about your own business and answering a few questions, he'd genuinely appreciate it — just get in touch.
